Unfortunately, there is not much of a sense of environmentalism here in Djibouti. Much of the landscape is littered with trash and nomadic plastic bags. Near the quasi metropolitan area of Djibouti city, and around the base, it is much worse than if you get out into the countryside. But, near every village, every small city, trash is evident on the horizon. This shot was taken on the way to the Cheetah Refuge, near the 'golf course'.
