Funky Glasses!

I first read about these glasses in National Geographic for eye docs who go to third world countries to fit the indigent for corrective lenses. Donated glasses are a problem because the lens/frames do not always work for the patient. These glasses have two lenses that a patient can inject a patented viscous oil to change the lens refraction until their vision is 'clear'. No eye chart needed. Once the vision is set, they can stopcock the oil and remove the syringes to reattach and adjust them later if their vision changes...awesome!!! And now we have them...

Heather's Farewell

We had a farewell dinner for LTTG Louda, our 'Funmeister' for the Wardroom. She is a really nice, funny person and we are all going to miss having her energetic enthusiasm around! She also the star of the popular YouTube video: "I'm in Djibouti Shipmate". Check it :)

Munich Day 3

All alone without my baby...slept in late and wandered around in the cold taking pictures and realizing that vacation is about to be over. Don't you just hate that feeling??
